Aspiration Day 2017: Kilas Tiga

On Thursday 26-27th of April 2017, the Class Representative (Perwakilan Kelas or PK) held an annual event named "Aspiration Day". The event itself aims to collect every single critic, suggestion, and complaint related to SMAN 3 Bandung from the students. I must appreciate PK for organizing such cool event like this. I think the concept, the preparation, the promotion, and the execution are excellent.

There are two series of the event which was held on two different days. But about a month before the execution, PK held a pre-event which contains of some competitions; debate, caricature, and stand-up comedy. It was remarkable although I didn't join one.

So the two series of the event are Festival (held on April 26th) and Kilas Tiga (Komunikasi Langsung Aspirasi Tiga) (held on April 27th). A day before the festival, PK conducted a dance performance to promote the event, that's why I said that the promotion was unusual.

April 26th, The Festival.
I'm not going to tell you much about the Festival because I couldn't come to the event, But on the event, PK announced the winners of the pre-event competitions. Also there were performances from extracurriculars of SMAN 3 Bandung, specifically they are MK3, Band3, and KV3. The stand-up comedy competition participants also showed their talents here. I also got a reward from PK for uploading Aspiration Day promotion photo on my instagram account.

April 27th, Kilas Tiga.
A day before Kilas Tiga was held, my class president, Syifa told me that I was one the class delegations which had to attend Kilas Tiga and deliver aspirations from our class. The event was attended by Vice Headmasters, delegations, Class Representatives, and School Committees.

There were 4 main topics of aspiration that was discussed at that forum. Restroom renovation, Masiina Sholihin Mosque renovation, teacher's standardization, and extra lesson with teacher with additional cost.

The main topic that took a lot of time duration was the teacher's standardization and extra lesson with teacher matter. Kilas Tiga ended around 5pm. Some of my question/aspiration was answered, but actually I would like to have a further discussion with school authorities about other topics.

Nature: Our Treasure, Earth.

22nd April is near! Earth Day is coming! Due to that, let's discuss something about earth, about nature.
Earth. For billions of years, earth has been providing lives for many living creature. Then, human came. Because I am a muslim, I believe that God claimed that humans are created to be "Khalifah", or leader. Leader of this earth, leader of any other creatures. God mention it in the noble Quraan, specifically in Surah Baqarah (chapter two) verse thirty.

It says:

" And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know." "
Reading that verse make me realize that God fully trust human to look after the earth. Even when the Angels doubted Him and said humans may corrupt the earth, God said that He knows better than the Angels. Now, as God knows 100% that human can take care of the earth well, doesn't it make you think? Earth, this beautiful earth is not just a gift, a miracle, a treasure for human. It is also a responsibility for us. We, humans are the best of creation according to the noble Quraan. We have proved that we are, by developing everything, thanks to technology. But we have to realize that we have created danger to this earth, we have created danger for ourselves.

Earth provides everything we need to live, oxygen, water, trees, mountains, and so on. Are we really ready to sacrifice these beautiful things? Are we ready to live without them? We'll be dead before we even know they are gone! Remember not to be selfish. We are not alone on this earth. We share this earth with animal, plants, etc. But the most important thing is that we are, we have to share this treasure to our children, grandchildren, great-grandchildre. OUR NEXT GENERATION! Are we ready to see them living in suffer? Do you really wanna see your children knowing elephants only from our stories. I, myself surely aren't ready for that. I wanna see my children living in this earth happily.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, Let's prove that the angels were wrong. We do not corrupt. We are going to look after the earth, even though it is not as beautiful as it were before, we still have a lot to protect.

My Last Holiday

Hello everyone! It's been a while right? I haven't posted anything because I was on my year-end holiday hehe. And due to that, I would like to share my last holiday trip. By the way, Happy New Year! It's 2017 and I wish you all the best this year!

So actually my holiday began after the first semester test ended, but I didn't go anywhere because first my family weren't planning to go anywhere and second I had to go to school to make sure that there were no RMP(s) or even SP(s).

The official holiday started after the report card was handed to my  parents. It was 23rd of December 2016. My big family planned to go to Tasikmalaya on 27th until 28th of December 2016. Until that day I did not do anything much, just watched some movies on my laptop, chatted with some friends, eat, well anythings that make me fat.

I actually also went to Jakarta to accompany my mom on her meetings to organize my brother's wedding, it was fun actually to know my future sister-in-law, hehe.

On 26th of December 2016, I went to Jakarta again to accompany my mom picking my brother's wedding suit in Pasar Mayestik, Jakarta. I was there until night, it was tiring to know that I had to go to Tasikmalaya with my big family on the next day. On my way to Bandung from Jakarta I was sleeping and when I arrived at Bandung I quickly fall back to sleep.

I woke up on the next day feeling so dizzy, maybe it was because I was so tired. My mom quickly told me to pack my stuff because we were going to go to Tasikmalaya by train that day on 7.30 AM. I honestly didn't know what to wear, what to pack, or so. But fortunately I managed to pack all my stuffs into my bag and then I had breakfast with all of my big family member; grandma, mom, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, cousins, and niece. I missed them all so much, I could not remember when was the last time I saw them:(. We went to the train station by a minibus and quickly got onto the train. The train departed around 7.45 AM. I did not really enjoy the ride because the internet connection was so slow so I decided to sleep.

After 3 hours on the train, we finally arrived at Tasikmalaya Train Station. There was already a bus for us to travel around Tasikmalaya, we got onto the bus, the bus took us to a Sundanese Restaurant called "Liwet Pak Asep Strawberry". I had been there before and I like t
he food, the area, the atmosphere, and so on. I chatted a lot with my cousins, we played with our baby cousin and baby niece, we also played a finger game, it was so fun.

After lunch, we went back to the bus and the bus took us to the next place. The next place was a military place my grandfather once worked in, a hospital where my grandmother gave birth to her children, but me, my siblings, and my cousins did not go there because our parents told us to. So we stayed on the bus, chit-chatting, taking selfies, sleeping, eating, or so.

My mom realized that we were bored so my mom, my grandma, aunts, and uncles allowed us to go to the hotel before them. But sadly i also didn't do anything much but laying on the couch, chatting with my cousin, eating some snacks, and watching tv.

Around maghrib time, my mom asked us all to go to my brother's newly opened cafe. The cafe called "Koka Cafe". It was a cozy small cafe with some local main courses, local and international light bites, desserts and beverages. I met my brother's girlfriend, Alvita, her mom, sister, amd brother. I played uno-jenga games with my sister, cousin, and Mba Almi, Alvita's sister. We ate much, I was so full, I felt fat already. Around 10 PM I went back to the hotel and quickly fell asleep.

I woke up late on the next day, again, maybe it was because I was tired. My maid told me to take a shower and to pack our stuff because we were going back to Bandung that day. After getting ready and after i packed all my things, I went down to the hotel's restaurant and had chicken porridge for breakfast.

After breakfast I got on to the bus and sat with my cousin then the bus took us to a souvenir store called "Haryati". It was a batik store, it also sells muslim's praying apparel. I got bored so I got back onto the bus to play with my baby niece. We continued our bus ride, next destination was an restaurant that served us with chicken soto. It was good and I was full. After that I went to another souvenir store that sells leather-made things. We finally finished our shopping and went back safely to Bandung.

I felt so tired and I thought my holiday was a bit boring but I was also happy because I got to meet my big family and spent some quality time with them.

See you on the next post!
